5 June 2025

The sixth AISSA Under40 Conference is set for June 5–6, 2025, in the Department of Agriculture, University of Naples “Federico II,” situated in the historic Real Sito Borbonico Reggia di Portici (NA), Italy.

Young researchers can exhibit their scientific accomplishments, exchange knowledge, and expand their experience at the AISSA#Under40 Conference. It creates a lively, casual setting where people may share ideas and forge multidisciplinary networks in the field of agricultural sciences.

Theme of the Conference: “Agricultural Sciences for Cultivating Tomorrow: Sustainability and Innovation in Agriculture”

The important role that agricultural sciences play in establishing a sustainable future will be the main topic of this year’s event. The conference will examine creative and cross-sectoral approaches to problems in food production, natural resource management, and environmental impact mitigation in order to address the urgent need for sustainable agricultural systems. As usual, this multidisciplinary event will encompass all AGR Scientific Sectors.

In line with European sustainability and innovation goals, AISSA#Under40 seeks to promote dialogue on the most recent scientific discoveries that support the sustainability and resilience of agri-food systems while guaranteeing the welfare of the environment and society.

This conference is highly relevant to SUREPASTOR, as it aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainable pastoral systems and innovative agricultural practices. By engaging with leading researchers and emerging talents in the field, we can foster collaborations that drive forward sustainable solutions for livestock management, pasture conservation, and agri-food system resilience.

SUREPASTOR will join the Conference with a poster presentation

A comparative examination of two regional SWOT assessments carried out in Sardinia and Tuscany will be presented with a poster presentation by SUREPASTOR as part of their contribution to the conference. Based on stakeholder feedback these evaluations are based on advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and potential risks of sustainable innovations in agropastoral systems in the Mediterranean. SUREPASTOR seeks to advance strategic solutions for improving and enhancing the resilience of pastoral farming through precision livestock technologies, grassland management and ecolabelling by bringing attention to important matters such as knowledge transfer gaps, climate challenges, and financial constraints.

Join us in this collaborative endeavour to impact the future of agriculture through knowledge exchange and new solutions.
