SUREPASTOR Field Survey in Orbetello

 Field Survey Completed in Orbetello – Advancing Pasture Monitoring

As part of the ongoing agronomic survey efforts within SUREPASTOR, the DAGRI team carried out a successful field data collection campaign at the Coveri and Il Pecorino farms in Orbetello, Tuscany. Using GPS instruments, spectrometers, and other precision tools, we measured key indicators including NDVI, LAI, grass height, species composition, and biomass. These metrics are essential for monitoring pasture health and productivity. The collected forage samples are now headed to the lab for detailed quality analysis. This internal activity contributes to refining pasture management strategies across Mediterranean landscapes.
